Our New Face
Last night as we were eating our bread the "new" face emerged. I ran to get the video camera and to my luck in was dead. I had to attempt to catch the pose with my camera, which meant that I went through a lot of photo taking! My efforts yielded 3 good pictures of not only the face, but arm motions to boot! It looks like he is flexing his muscles, or trying to relieve himself. Anyways, the new face is too cute not to share!

SOOOOO Behind on Blogging...
This past week has been the craziest week EVER! I know I keep saying it on my past blogs, but this one takes the cake. In order to catch up I know I have left out information on each of the events, some pictures, and videos. I will try to get those on here soon. We took the camper out last Friday and the next several blogs are little bits of our fun and busy week!
Sunday- Happy 1st Father's Day DAD!
Yea! You're a DAD! Happy Father's Day Josh!!!
We packed up the camper after a long week and celebrated Father's Day in Mosheim with some sandwiches. Josh got a Baylor shirt, massage, and his Picasso frame. We went home tired, but glad we have such a great little family! There will be more pictures to come, including Gamper's present! Happy Father's Day to Josh, Grandpa, Gampers, Gramps, and Uncle Bubba!

Saturday- Camping and Sleeping
Saturday we went into full camp mode!!!! Of course this means falling asleep on Uncle Jeremy! I know he will hate us later, but we had to get a pic of the massive booger that Jake had and none of us could get. He also looked soooo cute in the camper shower. The first bath Daddy could give him in a long time due to hip issues!

Friday- Gabby and Grandpa and Swimming
Friday my parents came into town to visit for the day. We took Jake swimming again, which he had no problem with. Today Jake has learned to bounce while sitting. This has then allowed him to attempt to pull himself up, which he is now really working on, whether the parents are ready or not. Jake also discovered how to make a new face that now he does all the time. It looks a lot like a face his cousin Gracie gives when someone is in trouble! Look out for when we visit Gracie, we will have to have a competition! More pictures and video of this day are to come! Oh, Jake figured out how to float too! He got himself into that position and then began to kick, it was hilarious!

Thursday- Swimming Again and Musik Garten
Thursday's events involved swimming with Mimi and Derek and then going to our first Mommy and Me music class at Baylor. Jake ABSOLUTELY loved his music class. Afterwards we had some of Josh's franchisees out at the campsite to eat Bar-b-que. Then we hung out with the Postons.
Getting ready to go to our music class!

Wednesday Painting for Dad
Wednesday involved making a present for Daddy for his first Father's Day. We smeared blue paint all over our hands and voila a masterpiece! We put the painted matte around my favorite picture of them. The paint was a LITTLE messy, so we had a bath in the sick to clean up!

Tuesday Play Date
Tuesday was swim time at the camper. Rachel, Landon, and Vera joined us for a quick swim. Both boys missed their morning naps, so our pool adventure was interesting. Jake didn't last long and Landon wanted to be outside of the pool vs. inside of it. This caused Rachel to be soaked every time he made the decision to play outside on the mat! We had fun though.

Camping Weekend #1
This weekend involved hanging out at the camper, a Chick fil' A party, 30th birthday party, and swatting flies! Our friend Vera is such a good Chick fil' A customer that she had her own party thrown for her at the mall restaurant. It came complete with its own cow and party favors. The set up was a trip and a half! After that we went to Sam's 3oth Birthday Party at La Fiesta. The rest of the weekend was spent at the camper....

Day of Firsts!
Toast, Bananas, Hands and Knees, Peek a Boo, Getting Stuck, Sippy Cup
And lots of them....
For some reason there were a lot of little things going on today. We had a busy day in general with errands, visiting Daddy at lunch, and a stroll around the block. Again, for some reason we also managed some other amazing things in our spare time! Today Jake ate a banana (not pureed) for the first time and wasn't really sure about it! At snack time we really got the hang of the sippy cup and finally realized how to drink out of it, doing it like a pro. And at dinner we ate our first bread product, wheat toast. The toast we like both to play with and eat. So this blog doesn't become forever long....to sum up the rest of the day.....we understood peek a boo for the first time and laugh out loud when mom "comes" back, and we held ourselves up on our hands and knees for quite a while for the first time. This is also a big milestone! We are so proud of our growing boy.....
Getting stuck in his onesie today was just a funny side note, and picture worthy!

Can I Drive?
As stated in a previous blog, I knew the day would come when Jake would ask his Gampers if he could drive the tractor. I just didn't realize it would come this soon. His tiny little hands ordained the Oliver Tractor wheel almost the entire parade! A good sign that it was a successful ride was the numerous wipes I used in the aftermath to clean up "dirty" hands. Gampers, it was a hit!!! Jake wore his onesie supporting the Massey-Harris tractor, so we also got pictures next to it. (Even though he didn't actually ride it this time.) Needless to say my little man slept very soundly Friday night after his test drive. Thanks Gampers!

Clifton Parade

This is our ride with Gampers on his Oliver Tractor in the Clifton Parade Friday night. Jake had a great time "driving" on the street. Pictures are to come soon!!!
