Yankee for a day, Ranger for Life!
Happy Birthday to Grandpa! The fam took Grandpa to a Rangers Game on Sunday for his birthday, which he will truly celebrate on Wednesday. It was HOT, but like the cool guy he is, Jake did great. We have tested him time and time again, and yet he stills prove to handle all situations like a trooper. It was a busy weekend, but all worth the memories we are forming as a young family. Without hesitation the camera was ready to catch as many pictures as possible to show how cute Jake looked in his Rangers outfits. I say this in a plural form because his favorite ensemble for the day was shirtless with his ball cap and shorts. Maybe this is good look for later on in life. Of course he was told by strangers that he was too cute-something he is hearing often! He, he! Thank for humoring me with all my picture taking, and Happy Birthday Grandpa. By the way we did fall asleep on Gabby. Once again the outdoor nap still our favorite!
Can't go the game with getting our picture taken with Nolan...

Waiting to Dance with Mimi
Zoo by day and Wedding by night. Saturday was definitely booked. One of Josh's high school buddies got married, and we of course got all dressed to attend the event. Mimi patiently waited to have a dance with Jake at the reception, but after three hours of partying he was pooped and had to call it a night. Fajitas, cake, sitting on the dance floor, and wearing Gamper's hat was all he could take. We do have to thank you Gampers for the cutest picture ever!!! Next time Mimi!

We Love Fish
We fondly start this blog with Josh hiding from the camera. On a hot afternoon this Saturday we ventured to the Cameron Park Zoo for a Dwyer Group Company Picnic. As Jake has fragile skin, mom insisted that it be protected by the very masculine fish sunbrella. It worked great, but Dad was less than thrilled to sport it around the zoo. My biceps couldn't support our 19 lb. baby boy all through the park, so dad had to step in, and yes, use the fish sunbrella. Jake's favorite part-the fish aquarium! Looking at the fish involved jumping up and down while squealing. All on lookers appreciated his enthusiasm for Nemo!

Playing with Paper Again!
On our fourth doctor's appointment in just this week, Jake decided that playing in the paper on the examining table was once again his only salvation! Between all three of us, our family racked up the co-pays this week. We did take time to bring Daddy lunch Thursday, so he had a bite to eat that day! One of the appointments was for Jake's 6 months shots. Ouch! They really hurt this time. Good news is that Jake only weighs two pounds less that his 16 month old cousin Gracie, a mere 19 lbs. Happy Half Birthday Little Man!!!!!!

82 Reasons Memorial Day was a Blast!

All inside jokes aside, camping this weekend was a hit, both for Jake and us! We camped next to some friends, and had a lot of day visitors as well. The weekend involved many activities, most important though was the frog pool and baby doll washer throwing. Lipstick enjoyed every minute of it Vera! By the way how many pancakes DOES it take to cover a doghouse?

Too bad your cheating didn't work Russ...

Discussing the importance of throwing the washers correctly. Josh is needing a minute to "think" things over.

Pattern that is forming with Uncle Jeremy! Jake loves falling asleep in your arms-you make him feel safe and sound!

Vera giving us a smile with Lipstick. You are still in trouble for leaving her by the way!

Vera and Addie with Lipstick #2.

This is Vera's sick joke on Jake. He doesn't know that he can't eat the baby doll.

Lipstick is a good luck charm when it comes to playing washers. Too bad you didn't have her when team Jess/Christa had the comeback of the weekend!

Playing on Mommy and Daddy's bed.

Froggy overload-Vera is so proud. Not only are we swimming in a frog, we are eating one too. Sarah makes a great swim buddy!

Giving Christa some love!

Getting ready to camp!

A Good Patient
Josh has had what we say as some "hip" problems. This has taken the family to Temple several times lately to visit specialists. On our last visit Jake decided he wanted to be the patient, mainly because playing with the paper on the examining table was so incredibly fun! Jake entertained us both, as we had to wait to see the doctor for a long time this visit. We love you Daddy, and are very sorry about your news. A man is never better looking than when he has a "hitch in his get along"! We are there for you no matter what!!!

Mayborn and The Rollo
Fun, fun day for all! Definitely busy one anyways. Jake and I met some friends at the Mayborn for an afternoon tour. Josh took a couple hours off work to meet us as well. We walked around and took in all the museum had to offer. Afterwards we went home for a nap and then back out again to eat some pizza. A long day, but a fun one. The rain didn't even slow us down.

Some turtle action!

Jake and I attempting to do a weather report even though we were not in the right spot. The Atlantic Ocean had a lot going on! Whoops!

Tornado action.

Fire truck ride with Sarah.

Playing house.

This picture would have been a lot funnier if he hadn't stuck his hand out!

Once again-tuckered out. There is a constant theme going on with how tired we get at the end of our trips! We play hard!

Stylin' for my outing today.

Mommy just can't get enough pictures!

The Rollo- Just in case you can't see, Jake's shirt says PERFECT (just like my dad). I found it at Baby Gap, and just couldn't resist. It helps to stroke both of their egos. Something I will regret later!

I love my Uncle Jeremy-thanks for all the cool stuff!
