Monique's Wedding in A-Town

Saturday we traveled to Austin for my cousin's wedding. The ceremony and reception was held at Chateau Bellevue in downtown Austin. It was picturesque and the perfect venue for an intimate wedding. It is fun to get all dressed up, and Jake was ready to meet all the single ladies! Here are a couple pictures to show off his cool duds for the weekend. (The six month old baby girl at the next table made eyes at him all night.)

The three of us dancin' the night away at Monique's Wedding. Too bad the camera malfunctioned before it caught Josh doing the running man and Jake doing the Kid 'n ' Play. Still the video is pretty cool and one sweeeeet memory for the fam!!!!!

Born to be Wild
Vroom! Vroom! Jake and Josh, my two hot motorcycle dudes, got geared up to show off the new Mr. Electric chopper today. They look tough sitting on top of this decked out ride. The bike was built by the Martin brothers in North Texas to be raffled for a Ronald McDonald House benefit. It was parked in front of the Big O Deck at Georges.

Jake and the Wonder Cat Tom

Our vicious cat Tom has made it a priority in his life to alienate everyone that comes into our house. We have the hardest time proving to people that he is sweetest cat to Josh and I. He leaves blood trails with family, friends, strangers, and even our 110 pound lab, Doc. Well we had been slowing introducing Jake to him, obviously nervous of the two cohabiting together! Today as Josh was holding Jake in the kitchen (of course I am cooking), Tom jumped in Josh's lap too, eager and desperate for attention! He didn't even care that someone else was there. Long story short, Jake is really been "feeling" his surroundings lately and began to pet Tom. The mean cat didn't even care and was glad to get attention even from his new friend. We had to take pictures of the moment so that it is documented for further proof that Tom has his moments!

Off to Grandma's House We Go (Great Grandma)

Wednesday and Thursday we took Jake to meet his Great Grandma in San Angelo! They had a lot of fun meeting each other. Gabby, Jake, and Heidi too! Heidi just couldn't take it that there was another "baby" in the house. She didn't want to share anything, including Jake's toys.

Now don't worry I am NOT saying precious Jake is an animal. I am just making light of the fact the rice cereal is not been exactly fun for our baby boy! We are trying to eat it though and meanwhile, once again, trying to show off our extremely strong bod!!!!!!

Ok, this is my first official blog! Josh has done everything to this point....

The "crazy" new breeders decided to do something rash this past Saturday and drive to Oklahoma City to see our valiant Bears take on Mizzou in the Big 12 Championship. It was sooo last minute, but we couldn't help ourselves! So we loaded the vehicle. Even though we did not win we did prove that Jake can sit through an entire sporting event, and yes even attempt a 'sic em bears. It was a long, but fun evening and we were glad we went!
